This module helps you perfect language of engineering, i.e. Engineering Drawing. At the end of this module, you will be able to read, interpret and explain complex P & ID drawing, General Arrangement Drawings, Isometric Drawing and Equipment drawings. This module explains various key concepts such as Oil exploration fundamentals, Piping and Instrument Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawing and more. These aspects of engineering drawing are very critical for handling the role of Project Engineer in Oil and Gas and similar industries.
This module deals with details of various types of materials used in Oil and Gas industries, standards followed, At the end of this module, you shall have the ability to Inspect the Oil and Gas construction materials in accordance with international material standards. This module delves into the application part of Metallurgy and Material science. This segment will introduce you to different topics such as Mechanical construction materials, Manufacturing standards, Dimensional standards, Chemical Properties, Mechanical Properties, Inspection, Testing and Quality control activities of Oil and Gas as well as related industries. I will also help you understand how to use ASME standards.
At the end of this module, you will be capable of Independent inspection and documentation of Production welding as per international Welding Standards and Specifications. This module dives deeper into welding, types of welding, weld joints, positions, welding defects, materials used and more. This provides an in-depth study of welding engineering for Oil and Gas plant construction, Pressure Vessel and Manufacturing. Thermal power plant construction sector is also included in this module.
Upon completion of this module, you will be capable of preparation of Non-destructive testing procedures, Interpretation, evaluation and Documentation of all four methods of non-destructive tests based on international standards. You will gain in-depth knowledge in penetration testing, magnetic particle testing, radiographic testing and ultrasonic testing.
